Frequently Asked Questions...

How many dogs do you walk at a time? Dog's Best
Friend walks only YOUR dog (s). Dog walkers that
walk several dogs at a time usually use Prong Collars
or Choke Chains, two pieces of equipment that we
REFUSE to use.  They can be harmful to your
dogs' health and to their emotional well-being.  Plus we
like to spend special time with YOUR dog.  We enjoy
the relationships and bonds we have with each and
every one of our canine clients.

In Addition, Large Group Walks are very dangerous.
Dog fights often break out and keeping control of
such a vast number of dogs is impossible in an
emergency situation.

Are you bonded and insured?  Yes.  Everyone on our
staff is bonded and insured.

Are you Pet CPR and First Aid Certified?  Yes!
Our entire staff is Pet CPR and First Aid Certified.

Can you walk my aggressive dog?  Absolutely!
In fact we specialize in handling dogs that enjoy being
alone rather than with other dogs.  If your dog is leash
aggressive or is people shy, have no fear, Rebecca is a
Certified Dog Trainer with extensive experience in
dealing with sensitive dogs.  We
never use punishment,
Shock Collars, Prong Collars or Choke Chains to
handle these dogs.  We use our Positive
Reinforcement Training Skills instead.

Can I call you at the last minute to walk my dog? If
you're a current client that we've already met, the
answer is definitely Yes.  We'll always try to fit your
pooch into our schedule (same day bookings cannot
be cancelled as they are outside the cancellation
period.  Service fees will be applied if cancelled).

But what if I've never met you?  In order to care for
your dog, we must meet you and your pooch first and
get all his/her information.  Plus, we need to make sure
they approve of us!  If interested in our services,
please call 310.990.6735 to set up a consultation.

Why do you put dogs in seat belts?  Automobile
accidents are one of the leading causes of death of
canine companions.  It is extremely dangerous for dogs
to run free in cars.  If you slam on the brakes, the dog
can go through the windshield, or become a fast moving
torpedo and slam right into you, injuring both of you.
All our caregivers are fully equipped with all sizes of
seatbelt to fit any breed of dog.

I've seen other dog walkers load lots of dogs into
their cars and drive around all day with those dogs,
even when it's hot. Do you do this?
Never!  We only transport your dog(s) and that is
done only from Point A (your home) to Point B (dog
park or wherever else you've requested).  We do not
drive around all day with several dogs in the car.  This
is dangerous, especially when it's hot!

Can you provide references?  Yes.  We have many
happy clients throughout the South Bay and will
gladly provide a list.  You can read several Letters of
Recommendation by clicking on the button below.
