When you're walking your dog on leash, does he lunge,
bark or growl at other dogs, skateboards, people? In
this intensive six week group class, we'll give you the
tools to help change and manage this behavior, using
modern, empirically proven positive reinforcement
techniques which help foster calm, well-adjusted, happy
dogs. All dogs will be pre-screened and must be up to
date on vaccinations. Please bring proof of
inoculations to first class. No dogs week one; humans
only. Prong, choke and shock collars will not be
permitted in class.

Dog’s Best Friend's Basic Manners:

Teach your dog to sit, come to you, lie down, stay, heel
and much more in this six week fun and informative
group class using positive reinforcement techniques
which help foster calm, confident and happy dogs. No

Dog’s Best Friend's Canine Good Citizen:

CGC is a AKC certification program that is designed
to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in
the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is
an advanced training class that stresses responsible pet
ownership and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs
who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a
certificate from the American Kennel Club, laying the
foundation for dogs who which to progress into
Therapy Work. As you teach the CGC skills, you'll
discover the joys of training your dog and will enhance
the bond between you and your pooch.
Prerequisite – All dogs must have Basic Obedience
Skills such as sit and down.
All pups must be friendly, well-adjusted dogs. Please
bring proof of inoculations to first class. Prong, choke
and shock collars will not be permitted in class.

Teaching Your Kids to Be Their Dog’s Best Friend
~ NEW

In this hour-long class, kids and parents will learn to
safely approach dogs, tips to properly care for them
and fun, compassionate and effective ways to train
their pooch. Bring the entire family to this fun and
informative class that will help kids be their Dog's Best
Friend. Toby, a Certified Therapy Dog, will be on
hand to help demonstrate the above mentioned
techniques. Human family members only. No food or
drink allowed in class. Please bring chairs or blankets
to sit on during class.

*Kids with pet allergies or extreme fear of dogs should
not be in attendance
